Bouchlaghem named Nottingham Trent's architecture head
Nottingham Trent has appointed Dino Bouchlaghem as its new head of architecture
Bouchlaghem was previously director of Loughborough University’s Centre for Innovative and Collaborative Construction Engineering and will be chairing this summer’s Innovation in Architecture, Engineering and Construction conference in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
He said: ‘The architecture provision at the Nottingham Trent University has already established excellent industry links, with courses validated by both the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists.
‘I am looking forward to building on these foundations and helping to take the architecture programme to the next level by developing the curriculum and focussing on the quality assurance for the 700 students in the area.’
Peter Westland, dean of Nottingham Trent University’s School of Architecture, Design and the Built Environment, added: ‘We are delighted with the appointment of Professor Dino Bouchlaghem. He brings a wealth of knowledge, expertise and experience to the school reinforcing our commitment to delivering a high quality student academic education and further enhancing our research capacity. The appointment will provide the team with clear leadership and sustained drive towards excellence.’
