BDP wins planning for football stadium regeneration

BDP’s £50 million regeneration of Plymouth Argyle Football Club’s stadium has secured planning permission

The plans, which include a new grandstand, an ice rink, a cinema and a hotel, were approved by the city council on 15 August.

The proposals also include landscape enhancements in Central Park, including creation of tree-lined routes, changing rooms for youth sports field users and ‘statement gateways’. Stadium facilities will be upgraded for supporters.

Plymouth Argyle chairman James Brent said: ‘Securing planning consent is an important milestone and heralds a new and exciting chapter for Plymouth.

‘I would like to put on record my sincere thanks to the overwhelming number of individuals and representative groups who worked with us on the shaping of the scheme and for supporting what we want to achieve for them and future generations.’
