BCIA shortlist unveiled after record number of entries

The shortlist for this year's British Construction Industry Awards (BCIA) has been announced, with a total of 34 projects selected from a record entry of 211.

All the UK shortlisted schemes for the awards, which reward 'overall excellence in design and delivery', will be visited by members of the judging panel during June and July. Projects of all types and sizes are represented.

The Prime Minister's Better Public Building Award, sponsored by CABE and the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), will also be presented at the BCIA ceremony. CABE will announce the shortlist for this award at a special event on 6 July.

Winners of the BCIA awards will be announced in the autumn.
