BBC calls for women architecture experts
The search has begun for the next female architect TV presenter
The BBC is offering free training for women in the construction industry keen to appear as experts on television and radio.
The initiative aims to target women working within the fields of architecture, engineering, business, politics and science, acknowledged as being predominantly male dominated industries.
Statistics from the City University have found that typically men used as experts on television can outnumber women 4:1, and this training aims to redress this balance.
The training will include masterclasses, hands-on TV training and studio-based workshops.
Applicants are required to email a CV and a couple of paragraphs stating their unique selling point to email@example.com by Friday 16 November.
Training will take place on 18 January 2013.
