Bath Appoints Doug King Professor of Building Engineering Physics

The University of Bath has appointed Professor Doug King, founder of King Shaw Associates, as Royal Academy of Engineering Visiting Professor of Building Engineering Physics in the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering

Doug King has been contributing to the teaching of environmental and sustainable design in the Department over a number of years, relating his experience as a leading practitioner to the theory learned by students. This new appointment allows him to make a substantial increase in his involvement, contributing to the strategic development of building engineering physics teaching at the University of Bath.

This appointment has been made possible through financial support provided by the Royal Academy of Engineering together with a consortium of industry partners: the Ove Arup Foundation, the Happold Trust, Hoare Lea, DSSR Consulting Engineers and Ian Ritchie Architects.
