Shuttleworth plot afoot
Ken Shuttleworth’s proposals for a huge, silver-clad block at Broadgate, which was likened to a behemothesque Bakelite radio, caused something of an uproar last year
Admittedly, this was as much to do with what it was replacing than how the giant HQ for Swiss Bank UBS actually looked. But readers should keep an eye out for Shuttleworth’s all-new, City of London bad boy drawn up for another European money house.
According to sources his practice, Make, has beaten practices such as KPF to bag the last big plot in the Square Mile, the so-called Leadenhall Triangle site, and plans to stick a HQ for Deutsche Bank on it.
