Rechristening CABE

Decaff, D:Ream, Deee-lite and now DCabe. Could this be the ‘street’ name for the newly forged design powerhouse formed by the merger of CABE with the Design Council earlier this year?

Well officially, no. The joint organisation is (formally) the Design Council Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment.

A shorter moniker would clearly be handy. However, as some wisecracker pointed out, DCabe (apparently pronounced ‘DeeCabe’) sounds too much like decay. It’s early days…
