Architecture Project builds in Malta

This is the new £7 million headquarters for the Malta Maritime Authority designed by emerging practice Architecture Project, founded in Malta with other offices in London and Croatia.

The 17,000m2 office complex in Marsa was drawn up by Riet Eeckhout – an ex-design director for Ken Yeang in Kuala Lumpur – who works from the firm’s London studio.

The three-block harbourside development, which also provides separate commercial space, sits on a platform housing public areas beneath.

The project will feature in an exhibition held by Architecture Project in collaboration with London-based pratice Makespace, showing until 3 July at 143-147 Brick Lane, London E1 6SB, 1-5pm daily.
