Architect sought for Norwich affordable housing scheme

  • Comment
A competition has been launched to find an architect to mastermind a 100-home affordable housing scheme close to Norwich city centre.
Organised by the RIBA’s Competition office and the Delivering Affordable Housing Partnership, the contest concentrates on the 1.2ha Greyhound Opening site west of the city.

The plot currently houses a former residential care home, workshops, 25 ‘outmoded’ homes and a garage and has been earmarked as an ‘ideal site for redevelopment [where] a higher density of better and innovatively designed affordable housing can be achieved.’

The closing date for expressions of interest is 11 September. More information can be obtained from the RIBA’s Competition office. Click here.
