AJ up for four major publishing awards

  • Comment
The AJ has been shortlisted in four key categories of the Periodical Publishers Association (PPA) Awards - the most prestigious accolades in magazine publishing.

Regarded by many as the industry's Oscars, the awards attracted more than 800 entries from the publishing world's biggest names.

The AJ has been shortlisted for 'Weekly Business and Professional Magazine of the Year'.

And AJ editor Isabel Allen has been shortlisted for 'Editor of the Year (Business and Professional Magazines)', art editor Sarah Douglas for 'Designer of the Year (Business and Professional Magazines)', and publishing director Jonathan Stock for 'Publisher of the Year (Business and Professional Magazines)'.

Stock said, 'This is further recognition of the value of the AJ's redesign and relaunch, which won three categories in the Magazine Design Awards last autumn, including the top prize.'

In addition, Catherine Slessor, managing editor of the AJ's sister title the Architectural Review, has been shortlisted for 'Writer of the Year (Business and Professional Magazines)'.

The winners will be announced early in May.
