AJ Specification Live launches inaugural seminar

Architects from Zaha Hadid Architects, Wilkinson Eyre and Stanton Williams will be among the speakers at AJ Specification Live’s inaugural event

The new programme of events, which will be held at New London Architecture (NLA), has been designed to tie in with the monthly themes of AJ Specification magazine, beginning on the 27th March with a series of talks on the design and specification of external cladding and curtain walling.

Zaha Hadid Architects’ Saffet Bekiroglu will speak about the firm’s Heydar Aliyev Centre in Baku; Stanton Williams’ Stephen Hadley and Larissa Johnston will talk about of granite cladding and Giles Martin, a director at Wilkinson Eyre will discuss glass specification.

Also speaking will be Paul Rogers, project director at Robin Partington & Partners who will discuss the use of parametric software in the development of bent glass cladding, and Damian Rogan of facade and structural engineer Eckersley O’Callaghan who will discuss developments in glass cladding technology.

The event will begin at 4pm at NLA on 27 March at the NLA on Store Street in central London, with talks followed by drinks at 6pm.

April’s edition of AJ Specification Live will take place on 30 April and will focus on kitchens, bathrooms and home technology.
