DEADLINE EXTENDED for AJ Small Projects Competition 2010
The AJ has launched its annual search for the best small-scale architectural gems.
The AJ Small Projects competition accepts unpublished schemes completed between 1 November 2009 and 1 November 2010 with a contract value of less than £250,000. The best projects will be showcased in two special editions of The Architects’ Journal in early 2011 and the winners will receive a share of the £2,500 prize fund.
Last year’s victor was this £155,000 innovative music studio at Snape Maltings in Suffolk by Haworth Tompkins (pictured).
This year, for the first time, a special sustainability award will be given to the project which displays the most innovative architectural solution to low carbon design
The deadline for entries has been extended until 12 NOON on 19 November 2010 and the entry fee is £50 + VAT.

Hello AJ,
I am an architect working in France, and I am interested in submitting a project for your small projects contest. The project fits the guidlines, except, I do not know if you accept projects outside the UK.
Please let me know.
Cordially,
Mr. Andrew B. Thwaites
