AJ named Magazine of the Year

The AJ was named weekly Magazine of the Year at last night’s International Building Press awards

AJ editor Christine Murray collected the Magazine of the Year gong, sponsored by Marley Eternit, at an awards dinner held at the Four Seasons Hotel last night. This is the first time the AJ has won the coveted cup in the 32-year history of the award.

The magazine was commended for being ‘bold, produced with great confidence and having a great impact’.

The judges’ citation named the magazine’s ‘lively news, features, and authoritative professional content’, saying: ‘The judges salute the clarity of its editorial ambition’.

The AJ was shortlisted alongside Property Week and Inside Housing.

Natasha Christie-Miller, CEO of the AJ’s publishing house Emap, said: ‘The judges really got it right. Well done Christine, and the whole team, it is wonderful to see your achievements acknowledged by the wider industry.’
