This scheme had a utilitarian charm, fitting it for use in a suburban garden.

Features include a window at ground level, allowing the user to look out at the lawn from a sunken bath, and a telescope for star gazing. The scale is deceptive - although just a shed, it could at first sight, be monumental.

The judges commented:

'A well executed combination of the personal and the pragmatic.  It is flexible, attractive and appealing.' (Ruth Slavid)

'Pure escapism in a suburban setting.' (Amir Sanei)

'A gritty proposition that relishes its engagement with the environment.' (Alastair Parvin)
