AJ100 Awards: Practice of the Year shortlist announced

The list of practices in the running for this year’s AJ100 Practice of the Year Award has been revealed

Assael Architecture, Hawkins\Brown, HTA, Make, Robin Partington & Partners and 2012 Stirling Prize-winner Stanton Williams are all battlnig it out for the Practice of the Year honour, which is awarded on the basis of key AJ100 survey data indicating employee satisfaction, design quality and business growth.

It’s the third year running Assael Architecture, and the fourth in a row in which Make has been shortlisted for the award.

Shortlisted practice Hawkins\Brown won the accolade back in 2011.

The awards are only open to practices on the AJ100 list, which is ranked according to the number of architects eligible practices employ in the UK. In recognition that recovery is on the way, the minimum number of architects employed by a practice to make it eligible for the list has risen to 20 this year.

The prestigious honour is awarded on the basis of employee satisfaction, business growth, design quality, fees per architect and a presentation to the judging panel.

Last year the award went to Allford Hall Monaghan Morris.

The winning practice will be revealed at the annual AJ100 Awards on 22 May.

The shortlist

  • Assael Architecture
  • Hawkins\Brown
