Yes, the ranks of architects who work ironing out technical details for the Olympic Park have been forced to resort to using pencil and paper after the organisation failed to renew certain software subscriptions.
Designers arrived to work to find they were locked out of their CAD programs and unable to edit drawings. The brief mishap thankfully resolved itself, however two days spent watching colleagues sharpening pencils and staring at spreadsheets was ‘arduous in the extreme’ according to one observer. Whoever said the paperless office was dead?
