I completely agree with the previous opinion , Ted Harris , this kind of nonsense is going on worldwide , this country is full of very able sensitive architects , why do we need more of this kind of behaviour , the recent scheme by R Piano for Ronchamp shows just how bad things like this can get ! At long last , how good to see somebody tackling the issue of proper standards to suburban houses and their site planning , I wish the group every success , this country ( Ireland ) is marred by substandard housing layouts and simply awful house designs which never take any regard for orientation , open space etc never mind the matter of insulation or Passivhaus principals or prefabrication . As a minion in the office of Venturi Rauch ScottBrown in 1969-1970 I recall well the contribution of Denise with her husband Bob and partner Steve Izenour to the making of the publication Learning from Las Vegas and concur with her and Bob that she should be recognised by the honor recieved by the Pritzker Prize , I have no doubt this matter will be rectified , for without her contribution this work may simply not exist .
