In pictures: Zaha's Italian 'starfish'

Zaha Hadid has revealed her plans for a new waterfront leisure and museum quarter in Reggio Calabria

The three-phase scheme features a 'Museum of the Mediterranean', a mixed-used block containing offices, studios, shops, and a cinema – costing a total of £42 million – as well as the £53 million overhaul and masterplan of the surrounding area.

Visible from Sicily, the museum is allegedly shaped like ‘a sea star’.
