In pictures: Zaha Hadid's Tokyo store designs
Zaha Hadid Architects has unveiled its concept designs for the flagship Neil Barrett store in Tokyo, Japan.
The furniture on the ground floor of the store, the practice says, is based on a ‘masculine and dynamic form’, while the first floor is more feminine, with ‘fluid contour lines’.
According to the practice, the designs shift between architecture and sculpture and call on Barrett’s own fashion designs, using folding, pleating and cut outs, rather than providing a single space.
The store will be completed early next year.
