Images: Kaplicky's final project

Jan Kaplicky's final project, a concert hall in České Budějovice, the Czech Republic, is due to start construction in 2010

The AJ has uncovered pictures of what is being billed as Jan Kaplicky's last project.

The Future Systems founder, who died last week aged 71, revealed these designs for a concert hall in České Budějovice in the Czech Republic late last year.

Unlike his controversial library in Prague, which looks set to remain on the drawing board, the two-theatre ‘stingray-shaped’ building for the South Society of Friends of Music is due to start construction in 2010 and could open in 2013.

The pictures are presented as a Flickr slideshow. You can click on an image to see the next in the series or select pictures directly using the thumbnail images below. The copyright of each image rests with the photographer.
