This year's Sir Banister Fletcher award for the 'most deserving' book on architecture was presented to former Rome scholar Mark Wilson Jones at a prizegiving dinner at the Arts Club.

The judging was undertaken by a panel appointed by the RIBA, so it is disappointing to find that the book in question, Principles of Roman Architecture (Yale University Press), has yet to appear in the RIBA Bookshop.
