Web of intrigue

A forum from BT on 'Smart Buildings' prompts some reaction to its proposals for 'migration chairs' - furniture it has designed for wireless, on the move, work-anywhere-you-like-inthe-office, 'touchdown areas' and 'corrals' - tiny spaces for staff to take refuge in or perform work which needs no distraction. One audience member asked how managers could keep track of slackers. 'If you mess around on the internet at BT you get a nasty little note on your computer - well you do on mine at least, ' admitted BT's corporate real estate director John Pike.

'Oops - what have I said?'
