Sustaining Greenland at the Venice Biennale
The Danish pavilion is hosting an exhibition entitled ‘Possible Greenland’, focusing on sustainable architecture in Greenland
Minik Rosing, curator of the Danish Pavilion, in collaboration with NORD Architects Copenhagen and Danish architects and artists, wants to highlight recent architectural development in Greenland, as well as future projects.
Due to the increased political and economic interest in Greenland, the exhibition also focuses on how Greenland can develop sustainable infrastructure without losing its identity.
The exhibition includes models, images, films and artifacts alongside an installation by the Greenlandic artist Bolatta Silis-Hoegh, in the form of a traditional house and references to the country’s landscape.
