Architectural, engineering, construction and related technical consultancy services.
The University of Sussex is seeking to appoint a limited number of service providers per discipline to carry out Architectural, Cost Consulting and Building Surveying Services, Environmental Engineering, CDM Coordinator, Building Control Services, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Services, Structural and Civil Engineering and Project Management Services for a four year period.

Division into lots:
Tenders should be submitted for: one or more lots.

Total quantity or scope:
A series of Framework Agreements covering the requirements of the University of Sussex of a wide range of buildings of different types and ages across campus. Each consultancy will undertake all the University's requirements within the given discipline during the Agreement period, with the exception of architectural services, where the university will reserve the right to advertise its design requirements for new buildings. The Consultancy requirements will cover a wide range of project values. It is envisaged that individual contract procurements will appointed under the GC/ Works/5 General Conditions for the Appointment of Consultants (1998). The Architectural and Mechanical and Electrical Engineering service providers will be required to fill the roles of design team leader and contract administrator, as appropriate for each particular project. The awarding authority may appoint more than a single service provider from each discipline. An information pack obtainable from the authority will give further details about the scope and requirements. The envisaged number of suppliers to be invited to tender will be 5 to 8 per discipline.

Estimated value excluding VAT: 4 000 000 GBP.

Duration in months: 48 (from the award of the contract).

Information and formalities necessary for evaluating if requirements are met: Qualification for tender is via a pre-qualification questionnaire which is obtainable from the Procurement Office at the above address. Completed applications must be returned to the Authority by 5th September 2008.
