three of a kind The only fruit

What should have been a glittering occasion in Prague last week for the opening of the Eva Jiricna-designed Orangery went off rather lower-key than expected, owing to a bout of flu which kept the Czech Republic's President Vaclav Havel away. Everyone liked the building anyway. Meanwhile, Eva has just revealed her favourite London building on a bbc radio programme: the Kew Palm House. As one wag speculates, she probably has a penchant for buildings which are hot, glazed, and make people sweat a lot.
