Thinking big

Murphy/Jahn's Post Tower in Bonn - a highly environmental building with a concrete frame and glass skin, shown above, is one of the latest crop of innovative tall buildings.

Stuart Alexander of WSP will address this subject in the Peter Campbell Biennial Lecture on 'Tall Buildings in the 21st Century'on 3 December.

He will examine the tragic events of 11 September and why the World Trade Centre structures failed, and focus on the resulting effects and new thinking on tall buildings. Case studies will include Barclays HQ and Swiss Re.
