The Sanger Building for Science & Mathematics by Hopkins

Brayanston School, Blandford, Dorset

The building tidies up a challenging overall site plan encompassing a number of buildings but using the existing lie of the land to make transitions between the buildings of various heights and various ground levels. The high thermal performance of the building is visibly reflected in the construction - the north facing outside skin is thick and heavily insulated with stripped down simple stretcher bond brickwork and deep openings.
