At least 10 British practices have entered an anonymous international competition to design the 'Freedom Park complex' in Pretoria, South Africa.

The scheme's executive chairman, Wally Serote, told the AJ that 'there are some big names in the mix'and some 'really interesting projects from the UK'. The shortlisted candidates will be informed on 26 April and a winning design unveiled on 20 July.
