Templewood Avenue, Hampstead

This is a scheme for a house in Templewood Avenue, Hampstead, North London.

Situated in a conservation area of large red-brick Neo-Georgian/Queen Anne-style houses, the design is radical, rather than imitative. Beneath a floating green roof, the building is considered as a series of planted terraces captured between pairs of masonry walls and accented with timber and glass elements.

It responds to the innovative architectural tradition of Frognal, while respecting the quality and amenity of its immediate surroundings.
