Surrey stays cool with weathertight wall

PRODUCTS IN PRACTICE - SCHOOLS,COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES

CAP The CAP-designed facade of the new Daphne Jackson Building at the University of Surrey in Guildford has an integrated brise soleil for maximum light penetration with minimum heat gain, aided by 24mm double-glazed units incorporating 6mm Suncool glass in jade green.

The 500m 2weathertight curtain wall on the north elevation used a Kawneer PF mulliondrained, modular system which is designed so that, when viewed externally, the opening lights and fixed vents appear the same. The facade framing includes a metallic blue and grey polyester powder paint finish.
