Fresh from designing new law courts for Manchester's Civil Justice Centre, Denton Corker Marshall (DCM) is causing another stir with the arrival of its 'folded' silver spoon for Alessi's Caffe collection. The practice designed the spoon, which is described as more of a 'stirring stick', to accompany its Presto coffee cup, launched earlier this year.

The launch comes hot on the heels of DCM's Sir Zelman Cowen award (the Antipodean equivalent of the Stirling Prize) for ANZAC Hall, the new exhibition gallery at the Australian War Memorial in Canberra. Talk about being born with a silver spoon?
