Developers and architects are famed for their cheesy gimmicks to get visitors to their stands or drum up interest in events at MIPIM.
This year is no exception, but there are some celebrities slumming it down on the south coast of France as well. Aside from people like Ken Livingstone (but not, surprisingly, Steve 'shagger' Norris, Astragal can reveal that England's Northwest has hired ex-tennis star Sue Barker and ex-soccer star Alan Hansen to take part in a 'Question of Sport Live' alongside Denis Law and the less well-known Darren Campbell and Steve Smith.
Cliff Richard will not be going.
Not to be outdone on the football front, GHP is hosting a dinner featuring Rodney Marsh.
Then there's the usual 'fish and chip' suppers; yachts; a Gensler bagel breakfast (presumably to imitate the form of its Cheltenham GCHQ building); a taste of Ireland with oysters and Guinness from McBains Cooper Consulting; the serious launch of HOK's new Wembley model; and, back in Manchester, a new take on an oldish theme.
