Speirs and Major should get credit for lighting

We were glad of the publicity regarding the Lighting Design Award for the Hungerford Bridge (AJ 17.4.03). But I must point out that while the lighting scheme was developed by Speirs and Major in conjunction with the design team, your article did not credit them.

From the outset of this project, the lighting design was a vital part of the whole scheme.

Speirs and Major managed to integrate the practical needs of safety and maintenance within a lighting system that beautifully enhances the structural form of the bridge, and are justifiably proud of both the design and of the award it has won.

The Lighting Design Award was won by Speirs and Major, not Lifschutz Davidson, and I would be grateful if you could ensure they receive proper credit for their efforts.
