FACTS AND FIGURES Types of ceramic tiles are classified by the amount of water that they absorb and by their method of production - either dry pressed or extruded. The less absorbent a tile is, the stronger it will be and the more resistant to frost. However, adhesion is easier with more absorbent tiles.
