We all know that the really important work is done anywhere but the office, so it is not surprising that the guru of working environments, Frank Duffy, should be turning his attention beyond the office walls to the city at large. Prompted by his own move to run DEGW's US operation from New York, Duffy is contemplating a comparison of where architects meet formally and informally to swap ideas, in London and New York. 'New York is much less social, ' he says wistfully.
