Soar success is Moore than meets the eye

I have enjoyed Tim Soar's portraits of architects you are currently featuring, each week, which seems to suggest a 'story'of some kind. Stranger still, however, is Guy Jordan's amazing photo of Rowan Moore (AJ 30.9.04).

He appears as a disappointed choirboy who has just heard that the first verse of 'Once in Royal' has been given to someone else. Or perhaps he has been trussed up in that straitjacket, to prevent him from injuring himself? No doubt your other readers came up with their own interpretations also.
