Six multidisciplinary design teams have made it on to the shortlist for an international competition to design a new British Antarctic Survey (BAS) base. The Halley VI competition attracted 86 entries and was launched in June by the BAS and the RIBA. The six teams were: Buro Happold with Lifschutz Davidson; Faber Maunsell with Hugh Broughton Architects;

Francis Design with Arup; Hopkins Architects with Expedition Engineering; Make with the Design Laboratory; and the Richard Rogers Partnership, also with Arup.
