Show time

Congratulations to Peter Cook, who has joined the ranks of Royal Academicians, the architectural fraction of which is a highly select bunch. Elected last month, Cook's teaching record, first at the AA and latterly as professor at the Bartlett, boosted his candidature, though his fantastic drawing style and his various buildings in Europe must have had something to do with it. Although too late to be involved in this year's hanging for the Architecture Room at the Summer Show, that will no doubt happen later on.
