First it was the estimable Vittorio Radice who was snaffled by Marks and Spencer from his top-dog role at Selfridges. He is now heading the combine's home furniture division (current turnover £370 million pa). But now M&S has swooped on someone even more significant:

Sir Terence Conran. He is to act as design adviser to the division Radice heads, which will put in harness a duo who worked together at Habitat in the early 1990s. This is starting to look serious
