Shooters Hill detail in need of a breather


With reference to the detail for Loates-Taylor Shannon's Shooters Hill House (Working Details, AJ 21.10.04), should the external vapour control layer not be a breather membrane, or is there some particular reason for putting a vapour barrier on the cold side of the insulation?
