Save Hove from Gehry's atrocious seafront plan

Am I the only one who thinks that Frank Gehry's design for the seafront at Hove is awful?

Deyan Sudjic seemed to be hypnotised in his article 'Hove Springs Eternal' (The Observer, 11.5.03), likening it to Gaudí's Sagrada Familia in Barcelona.

This is ridiculous.

What is proposed is overscaled, grotesquely out of proportion and, frankly, sinister.

It would be more at home in Ceausescu's Bucharest, or perhaps as a palace for Saddam.

One can only pray that Wilkinson Eyre wins the commission to save Hove from this atrocious addition.
