ROGERS WAS NOT PASSED OVER AT HEATHROW

LETTERS

Your article 'Fosters Lands Heathrow East Terminal Scheme' ( ajplus 25.01.06) is totally incorrect.

BAA naturally approached the Richard Rogers Partnership - as lead architect for Terminal Five - about this project. However, given the very high level of our current commitments in Europe, the US and the Far East, we reluctantly decided that it would prove impossible for the practice to offer the right people and guarantee the quality of work we would wish to deliver.

On this basis, the Richard Rogers Partnership declined to tender, but we trust that BAA will consider us for future projects as they occur.
