With reference to your article 'GM+AD to build new gateway ats' (AJ 11.01.07), I would like to clarify the position of RMJM with regard to this Glasgow project with developer Forrestgate.

Despite following instructions from Forrestgate to develop several alternative proposals for the Victoria Road site, and the eventual securing of planning permission, RMJM's designs were not 'ditched', as stated in the article. In fact, RMJM has been forced to halt work on the project altogether due to an issue of outstanding fees.

A subsequent planning application has since been submitted using the plan form developed by RMJM. Both matters are now under investigation by the practice and our advisers.

Alistair Brand, director, RMJM
