A bit of peace and quiet by de Rosee and Sa

A quiet place to rest in the city; a simple concept aimed at countering a deficiency in tranquil spaces in the Holland Park area.

A school extension/ A Valley entrance by Carl Nicholls

With the Olympic legacy unknown, the project acts as an extension to the schools that have lost there ‘BSF’ funding, whilst asking them to engage with an existing sporting infrastructure.

AGORASTO[ri]A by SEABER2 (Matt Seaber / Chris Seaber)

The site is a visual and sound stage for the capture and play back of memories of all who pass through it, engaging with the opportunities that the site offers.

Aldwych Aquarium by Helen Reid

Deep-sea aquarium for creatures found below where light penetrates. Fish will inhabit the tunnels stretching to Holborn, whilst the public can observe them from the platforms of Aldwych.

Archaeological Resuscitation by Luis Alberto Torres, Emma Gibson, Sara Dowle, Sarah Willats

The excavated urban space of Archeological Resuscitation rediscovers the underground communal atmospheric qualities of life in the past bringing people together for meeting, quiet contemplation or spontaneous performance.

Art Booth proposes the re-activation of London’s redundant phone booths to create a network of satellite micro-galleries, scattered throughout the city; housing new art in London’s forgotten phone cabins.

Bee project by Studiodare

A combined urban park, ‘agroforest’ and bee-keeping aviary promoting a mutual dependency between the community and eco-system. The project offers the potential to create an economic market for the exchange of produce.

The competition entry looks at the re-use of the abandoned St Saviour’s Dock in Bermondsey. The project proposes a long sloping beach, complete with dunes, beach huts and a tidal pool.

Inhabiting and activating the forgotten rooftops of East London’s Council Blocks.

Brick Lane bridge by Josefin K Karlsson

The scheme aims to define Brick Lane Bridge and encourage use of the street, by creating a link between green spaces and providing seating areas for use during the Sunday market.

Broadwater Dock Pavilion by Dean Connell

The Broadwater Dock Pavilion will replace the stagnant water that languishes at the bottom of the old canal. The aim is to reconnect this space with its local community.
