Dominic Stephenson (27), of 3D Architects in Edinburgh, and his girlfriend Eileen Lee (24), an events and communications coordinator with the Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland (RIAS), were reported missing after the Boxing Day tsunami, writes John Pelan.

Eileen had been visiting family in Hong Kong before she and Dominic travelled down to Koh Phi Phi island. A week after the tidal wave hit the coast of Thailand, a body was recovered that was identified as that of Dominic. At the time of writing, Eileen had not been found.

In their memory, the RIAS is asking architects to support the work of Save the Children in Thailand through the Tsunami Rehabilitation Fund. The RIAS and 3D Architects are donating £2,000 to kick-start the appeal.
