I think it has been over-translated, certainly over-written but Archidemo is billed as 'the experimental demonstration for enhancing of the possibility of the architecture and environmental design in the 3DInternet (3Di) space.' Actually it's about translating real space into virtual space and flying avatars about in it. At least initially, this site has something to do with building a complicated 3D exhibition about Oscar Niemyer in Second Life.
Generally the blog seems to be the end result of a collaboration in the second half of last year between a bunch of Japanese university people inspired by architect, Hidenori Watanave [www.metaversejournal.com/2008/02/06/hidenori-watanaves-architectre/ ] using an application called ViZiMO. Some of the student (non-Second Life) work is hilariously good. You who were so tired of Second Life might care to give their virtual beings a fresh workout.
Incidentally the University of Queensland has bought an island on Second Life. Surely more fun to have bought one of the real Daydream islands off the adjacent Great Barrier Reef.
