News reaches Astragal that RIBA past presidents are the latest to be struck by the modern-day phenomenon knows as ARB apathy. No less a figure than Michael Manser tells Astragal that he 'forgot' to renew his ARB subscription, and was so incensed by the tone of the subsequent reminder letter that he decided not to bother renewing at all. Marco Goldschmied is rumoured to be warming to the idea himself, especially as Manser has let it be known that he plans to use the money saved to buy a case of decent wine.
