Radio 3 puts focus on architecture

BBC Radio 3 is set to launch a series of programmes in June that will mark the beginning of a 'year-long focus on architecture'.

The programmes will explain the 'increasing public interest in the built environment' and assess the future of architecture.

A live debate on 12 June on 'the Value of Architecture' kicks off the series. The literature show, The Verb, will also be involved, running a writing competition, and Architecture Week will be celebrated in a programme inviting artists, critics and architects to discuss their favourite 'architectural walk'. And arts show Night Wav e s will launch a search for the profession's 'rising stars'.
