If this hinge looks uninteresting, that is an achievement not a criticism. Royde & Tucker has developed it as its HILOAD anti-ligature hinge to preclude self-harm by preventing a ligature being put over the knuckle, or between the door and doorframe. It has a chamfered edge and a security faceplate through the hinge leaf using Resistorx screws.

There are two versions, both approved to the highest grade of the DHF Technical Specification 001: DoorMounted Anti-Ligature Devices for Safety and Security Purposes. H102 is a 100 x 72mm triple knuckle-butt hinge in stainless steel with a maximum weight loading of up to 120kg. The larger version, H125, is 125 x 102mm and has a weight loading of 160kg.
