Name Nick Thursby Age 32 Status Associate and sustainability director Education Universities of Plymouth and Sheffield When did you join the practice?

1999 What do you like about working there?

Here at Chapman Taylor there is a real opportunity to influence and design large areas of our city centres. We do a lot of mixed-use schemes which affect the average person in the street, not just a select few. There is a strong, diverse push to create a variety of architecture in large schemes. The friendly and relaxed atmosphere in the practice encourages people to share ideas. We all have a duty to limit the adverse local and wider effects of the buildings we create. I work with the sustainability team whose function is to enable the practice and its clients to make decisions which have a beneficial effect on our environment.
